AUS vs ENG Match 4 Team Prediction For Today's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Match:
Australia will kick off their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against England in match 4 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, February 22.
Both teams will be heading into the tournament on the back of defeats in their respective previous ODI series. Australia first lost a three-match ODI series 1-2 at home before losing another series against Sri Lanka 2-0 away from home.
The World Champions faced massive blows ahead of the tournament and they will now be competing without some of their big names. The pace trio of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 whereas Marcus Stoinis retired from the format.
The Aussies will also be missing the services of all-rounders Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green. Steve Smith will be leading the Australian team in the marquee tournament which was last played in 2017.
Talking about England, who will be captained by Jos Buttler, already have named their playing XI for their first match in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. They recently suffered a 0-3 defeat in the ODI series against India.
