Australia vs Pakistan 1st ODI: Pakistan batter Kamran Ghulam had a funny banter with Australian skipper Pat Cummins during the first ODI at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Cummins not only had the last laugh against Kamran particularly but also played a key role in Australia's two-wicket thrilling win on Monday.

Playing his first ODI after a year and 11 months, Ghulam started his innings well with a boundary against Adam Zampa off his second ball.

In the next over, the 29-year-old batter was up against Cummins. He mimicked Australia star Steve Smith by saying no for a run with a loud call pointing in the direction of the ball.

Ghulam's actions even brought a smile to Cummins' face as he collected the ball.

However, Cummins had the last laugh during the funny instance as he came up with a surprising bouncer to get the better of Ghulam for 6 runs.

After being put into bat first in the series opener, Pakistan lost two quick wickets as Mitchell Starc looked in great touch with the new ball.

Star batter Babar Azam and new skipper Mohammad Rizwan then had a promising partnership of 39 runs for the third wicket.

Adam Zampa provided a massive breakthrough as he dismissed Babar for 37 runs in the 18th over whereas Rizwan kept going at the other end.

The visitors were bowled out for just 203 runs in 46.4 overs with Rizwan being their top run-getter with a 44-run knock.

Despite an incredible fightback from Pakistan, the hosts managed to emerge victorious in the end in the 34th over with two wickets in hand.
