South Africa demolish Australia by 134 win in match 10 of the ODI World Cup 2023. 

With just 10 overs left, South Africa are cruising along towards a big win. Australia, on the other hand, are trying to minimise the difference. OUT!! Shamsi gets Cummins. Australia close to getting all-out. 

Finally, the 7th wicket goes down as Mitchell Starc departs for 27. Marco Jansen generated the awkward bounce and Starc had no answers to it. AUS 139/7 (33.3)

Australian batters Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Starc are just taking the game as deep as they can. They are not looking to sneak a win because the conditions are adverse. AUS need 204 from 23 overs with just 4 wickets remaining. 

Last nail in the coffin for Australia? Marcus Stoinis has been adjudged caught behind in the most controversial decision of the day. Mitchell Starc is the new batter in.

South Africa have finished their innings on 311/7 at the end of 50 overs. Australia have got a daunting task on their hands.

Australia are pulling the game back into their stride. Cummins and Hazlewood have bowled some brilliant overs lately. 

South Africa are eyeing 330 from here but the wicket of Aiden Markram will certainly boost Australia from here. Pat Cummins bowls a good over with just four runs and 1 wicket. 

Three boundaries in the over against Josh Hazlewood. South Africa is taking off and taking off well. Glenn Maxwell brought in for the final over. 

Back to back hundreds for Quinton de Kock. He likes to play in India for sure. A hundred in 90 balls as he spearheads South Africa's batting.

"We are going to have a bowl. Not too sure what's to make of this wicket. It seems like it's got a bit of moisture. Two changes. Stoinis is back in place of Green and Josh Inglis comes in for Alex Carey. Fee runs short (vs India), really happy with the way we bowled. They (South Africa) have started the tournament really well, always a good challenge," Pat Cummins said at the toss.

Lucknow's Ekana Cricket Stadium has historically favored spinners and was sluggish and slow throughout the IPL. Fast bowlers can also benefit from this slow pitch as the game moves on since they can use cutters and slower deliveries in addition to their usual offerings.

Even though there have only been four ODIs played at the venue, a trend has developed. The first- and second-batting teams each won two games, with the average first-inning score being 220.

It will be a warm, muggy day in Lucknow. When the match begins, the temperature is predicted to be in the 34-degree range. There won't be any clouds, and the humidity level is predicted to be around 36%. As the sun sets, the temperature will decrease to 28 degrees.

"The intention is to try and play every game. We won't be rotating goals unless we really have to; if someone's really fatigued or managing a niggle that needs a bit of a rest. It's a World Cup. You can't take any game lightly," said Pat Cummins.

"I'm sure a lot of guys love the format. I'm not going to speak on behalf of everyone. For myself, it's been doing it for a couple of years now, so I find it quite tiring. It's been a long time for myself, but I'm sure there's still a lot of guys, a lot of youngsters coming through the ranks, guys still at school growing up, they still would love to play this format and I highly recommend that they find a way to keep it going because there's a lot of guys with big ambitions who want this format to carry on going which I think they need to find a place and a time for it to happen," he said.

Talking to The ICC Review podcast, Ricky Ponting said: "Australia, to me, looked to be a fair way off the mark, to be honest, in that game against India. You can't afford to be zip-and-two (0-2) in a World Cup. We know how important it is to finish up the top of the table. But I've still got full faith in their squad. It is a very good squad, a very talented squad. We know there's a lot of all-rounders in that side.”
