AUS vs SA WTC Final 2025: South Africa skittled out Australia for 207 runs during the second innings of the WTC final, which is being held at the Lord's Cricket Stadium. Australia took a lead of 74 runs during the first innings as they had bundled South Africa out for 138 runs while chasing 212 and have now posted a target of 282 runs for South Africa during the fourth innings and aim to script history at the Lord's Cricket Ground.

Kagiso Rabada had taken four wickets during the second innings after taking a five-for during the first whereas Lungi Ngidi took three wickets after staying wicketless in the first innings.

As far as Australia is concerned, Mitchell Starc was the highest run-scorer as he had scored an unbeaten knock of 58 runs during the second innings and stitched a partnership of 59 runs for the last wicket with Josh Hazlewood.

344/1 by West Indies vs England in 1984

West Indies had defeated England by 9 wickets during the 1984 Tests, which were being held at the same venue by successfully chasing the target of 342 runs in 66.1 overs after losing just one wicket. Opener Gordon Greenidge scored an unbeaten knock of 214 runs off 242 balls and Larry Gomes scored 92 and helped West Indies script history at the Lord's cricket stadium. They stitched a partnership of 287 runs for the second wicket.

282/3 by England vs New Zealand in 2004

Nasser Hussain scored an unbeaten knock of 103 runs and Andrew Strauss and Graham Thorpe smashed fifties each during the fourth innings and helped England chase the target of 282 runs after losing just three wickets and thus won the 2004 Test match against New Zealand by seven wickets.

279/5 by England vs New Zealand in 2022

England's star Test batter Joe Root scored an unbeaten knock of 115 runs and skipper Ben Stokes scored 54 runs off 110 balls and helped the hosts chase down the target of 277 runs against New Zealand and thus won the match by five wickets.

218/3 by England vs New Zealand in 1965

During the 1965 Test match between England and New Zealand, the hosts chased down the target of 216 runs during the fourth innings against New Zealand and on the back of Geoff Boycott's 76 and Ted Dexter's unbeaten knock of 80 runs, England achieved this milestone in 60.5 overs after losing three wickets and won the match by seven wickets.

193/5 by England vs West Indies in 2012

Alastair Cook's brilliant knock of 79 runs and Ian Bethell's unbeaten knock of 63 runs helped the hosts chase the target of 191 runs in 46.1 overs and won the Test match against West Indies by five wickets.
