Australia vs Scotland 2nd T20I: Australia defeated Scotland by 70 runs in the second T20I match at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh on Friday, September 6.

Australia have taken a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match series, having won the first game as well by seven wickets.

The visitors bowled Scotland out for 126 runs in 16.4 overs while defending their huge total of 196. Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers as he took four wickets for just 23 runs in his 3.4 overs.

While Cameron Green took two wickets, Xavier Bartlett, Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott, and Adam Zampa found a scalp each as well.

Brandon McMullen was the top run-getter for the hosts as he scored 59 runs in 42 balls on the back of four boundaries and as many sixes.

Apart from McMullen and George Munsey who scored 19 runs, no other batter managed to even reach the double-digit mark.

After being put into bat first, Australia lost the in-form Travis Head for 0 in the second over whereas Jake Fraser-McGurk departed for 16 runs in the fourth over.

Josh Inglis and Cameron Green recovered things for the Aussies and stitched an impactful partnership of 92 runs for the third wicket.

Inglis went on to smash the second century of his T20I career, scoring 103 runs in just 49 balls with the help of seven fours and as many sixes.

While Inglis smashed the fastest T20I century for Australia, Green made an all-important contribution of 36 runs in just 29 balls.

While Stoinis remained unbeaten on 20 runs in as many deliveries, Tim David played a seven-ball cameo for his 17 runs and took his side to a big total.

Bradley Currie picked up three wickets for the home side while Christopher Sole took one wicket.

Inglis was adjudged as the Player of the Match as Australia took a huge step towards a whitewash series win.

The third and final T20I match between Australia and Scotland will be played on Saturday, September 7.
