AUS vs WI 4th T20I:Cameron Green and Josh Inglis' fifties helped Australia defeat West Indies by three wickets and are currently leading the five-match T20I series by 4-0. The visitors chased the mammoth target of 205 runs during the last over quite comprehensively as Green was the highest run-scorer as he had scored 55 runs, which was also his third half-century of the series, whereas Inglis too scored a brilliant knock of 51 runs.
This was the seventh time that the host couldn't defend more than 200 runs in the shortest format, and it was the most by any ICC member.
West Indies Sherfane Rutherford was the highest run-scorer as he had scored 31 runs off 15 balls, whereas middle-order batters Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, and Jason Holder also made significant contributions.
Shai Hope, who had scored an unbeaten century during the third match, had become the second West Indies player besides Chris Gayle to have smashed a hundred across all formats, but could only score 10 runs during the fourth match as Glenn Maxwell took a stunning catch to dismiss him.
Aaron Hardie, who had replaced Tim David, was the pick among the Australian bowlers as he registered match-winning figures of 2/24 in the four overs that he bowled, as he dismissed batters like Roston Chase and Rovman Powell.
Adam Zampa took three wickets, whereas Bartlett and Sean Abbott took two wickets apiece.
The visitors had a disappointing start as skipper Mitchell Marsh was dismissed during the first over by Jediah Blades.
Josh Inglis and Glenn Maxwell then helped the team bounce back by stitching a match-winning partnership of 66 runs.
Inglis then smashed his second fifty of the series off 28 balls, in which he had hit 10 fours and one six, but then Shepherd took his catch while standing at deep square leg.
Maxwell, who opened the innings for the third match, registered his highest individual score of 47 runs off 18 balls but then was dismissed by Akeal Hosein, and that left the visitors at 129/3.
Blades, who registered figures of 3/29, then dismissed Mitchell Owen and Cooper Conolly, and the visitors then suffered a batting collapse.
Green maintained his composure and, along with Hardie, built a match-winning partnership of 51, but then Holder dismissed Hardie.
Bartlett was dismissed by a run-out during the last over, and it was Abott, who scored the winning runs before rain played a spoilsport at Warner Park.
Australia has now won seven consecutive matches in the Caribbean, which also includes a 3-0 Test series win.
They won the 1st T20I by 3 wickets, and then Green helped them win the second match by eight wickets and ruined Andre Russell's last international match in Jamaica.
The visitors then won the T20I series after Tim David's 37-ball hundred in St. Kitts. The last T20I would be held in St. Kitts on Tuesday.
