IND vs AUS 1st Test: India's star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was involved in a hilarious banter with Marnus Labuschagne on the second day of the first Test match. As Jaiswal ran for a single, Labuschagne pretended to run him out with the help of a fake throw. At the same time, Jaiswal made this situation even funnier by standing outside the crease and entertaining both the players and the fans. This banter was one of the main highlights on a day, where the Indian opening pair shone brightly.
After the Indian batters had a hard time batting during the first innings, India's star openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul bounced back brilliantly during the second innings. Australian bowlers like Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon failed to give the Indian batters a hard time. Jaiswal and Rahul showed grit and resilience and thus stitched an unbeaten partnership of 172 runs, which played a huge role in helping the team take a huge lead of 218 runs.

Jaiswal, who earlier got out for a duck during the first innings, showed determination and resilience. He had scored an unbeaten knock of 90 runs and is inching closer to scoring his first Test century Down Under, a significant achievement at a young age. At the same time, KL Rahul proved his naysayers wrong, by scoring a brilliant knock of 62 runs and gave the team the much-needed stability and also proved his selection with a brilliant knock.

The importance of this partnership made the scoreboard ticking and they also achieved a rare milestone in Australia. This partnership became the first 150+ run stand for the first wicket by any visitor Down Under as England's Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook too stitched a partnership of 159 at the MCG in 2010 and the other partnership was between Sunil Gavaskar and Kris Srikanth of 191 runs at SCG in 1986.
The Indian opening pair not only strengthened India's position but has also set the foundation for a riveting third day, where Jaiswal is inching closer to his hundred, and Rahul's consistency could further put Australia under pressure
