AUS-W vs ENG Women's World Cup 2025: Ashleigh Gardner scored a record-breaking hundred off 69 balls, and Annabel Sutherland scored 98 runs as the reigning champions defeated England by six wickets in their Women's World Cup match. Gardner's hundred is the fastest in the ongoing mega event, as she also broke West Indies' Deandra Dottin's record of a 71-ball ton against Pakistan way back in 2017.
While batting first, England's Tammy Beaumont was their highest run-scorer as she scored 78 runs, but Australia bounced back by bundling England out for 244/9.
Australia chased down the target in 40.3 overs, where Sutherland scored a brilliant knock of 98 runs and Gardner stayed unbeaten at 104 off 73 balls.
Beaumont's innings off 105 balls was the highest by England since the other batters couldn't do much.
Alice Capses scored a gritty knock of 38 runs off 32 balls.
Apart from performing well with the bat, Sutherland also took a three-wicket haul and conceded 60 runs.
