With the win, Bangladesh bounced back and equaled the three-match series 1-1 with a match still remaining.

"All credit to the boys, especially to our bowlers, really happy with the way we bowled. I’m not giving credit to any particular bowler but all the bowlers bowled really well. We started with the bat very well and that helped us later on. As a batsman, we need to try and score in every match, I’m happy with my form,"

Chasing the target, Bangladesh were off to a fiery start as Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar put up a 68-run partnership with both the batters making a struggle for Sri Lankan bowlers.

Sarkar was the first to depart as he fell prey to Matheesha Pathirana for 36 in the 7th over.

Litton managed to add a few more runs before getting dismissed by Pathirana for 36 runs in the ninth over.

Earlier, Sri Lanka after being put into bat first managed to score 165/5 in their 20 overs with the help of Kusal Mendis' 36 runs and Kamindu Mendis' 37-run inning.

Angelo Mathews remained unbeaten on 32 off 21 whereas Shanaka scored 20 off 18 to help their side reach a challenging total.

For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahaman, and Sarkar picked up a wicket each.

The third and final match of the t20I series is scheduled to be played at the same venue on Saturday, March 9.
