Bangladesh cruised to a six-wicket victory in the second test against Pakistan on Tuesday to complete a 2-0 series sweep and provide a healing touch to a nation recovering from a political upheaval.

Chasing 185 for victory, Bangladesh rode a string of cameos to seal their third test series victory away from home with more than one session left at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Records created by Najmul Hasan Shanto-led Bangladesh Side:

Bangladesh's successful chase of 185 runs in their recent match ranks as their third-highest successful run chase in T20I cricket. This feat sits just behind their highest successful chase of 215 against West Indies in St George's in 2009 and a chase of 191 against Sri Lanka in Colombo (PSS) in 2017.

This achievement also places Bangladesh among the top visiting teams that have successfully chased down targets in Pakistan. Here are the highest successful chases by visiting sides in Pakistan:

220 by Sri Lanka - Rawalpindi, 2000
208 by England - Lahore, 1961
185 by Bangladesh - Rawalpindi, 2024
176 by England - Karachi, 2000

Unwanted Records created by Pakistan:

Pakistan's recent defeat marks only the second instance where they have lost all Tests in a home series, the previous occurrence being their 0-3 loss to England in the 2022/23 season.

This loss also extends Pakistan's winless streak at home to ten consecutive Tests, with six defeats and four draws. This streak is now the longest for any team in home games, barring Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, in the current century.

Additionally, with this series loss, Pakistan has now lost a Test series at home to each of the ten oldest Full Member teams, making them only the second side after Bangladesh to suffer this.
