BCCI Awards 2024 Full List: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently held its annual awards ceremony in Hyderabad after a four-year hiatus, celebrating the exceptional performances of Indian cricketers during this period

The event was attended by members of the Indian cricket team and England head coach Brendon McCullum, preceding the upcoming five-match Test series scheduled to begin on January 25.

BCCI decided to present awards for each of the past four years, marking a return to this tradition. Renowned cricketers Farokh Engineer and Ravi Shastri received the prestigious Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Awards for their huge contributions to Indian cricket.

Shubman Gill, recognised for his outstanding 2022-23 season, was honoured with the Poly Umirgar Award for being the best cricketer. Gill's achievements during this period included becoming the fastest batter to surpass the 2000-run mark in ODIs and notching up five centuries in the format.

Deepti Sharma, the versatile all-rounder, secured the title of the best women's cricketer for the last season, adding to her previous win for the 2019-20 calendar year.

The Polly Umrigar Best International Cricketer โ€“ Men awards were bestowed upon Mohammed Shami (2019-20), Ravichandran Ashwin (2020-21), and Jasprit Bumrah (2021-22), with Shubman Gill claiming the award for the 2022-23 season.

In addition to recognising international stalwarts, the BCCI acknowledged outstanding performances in domestic cricket. The highest wicket-takers and run-scorers in women's ODIs over the past four years were also honoured.

R Ashwin and Yashasvi Jaiswal received accolades for their exceptional performances in the Test series against the West Indies in 2022-23.

The BCCI further highlighted the best debutants in international cricket for both men and women over the past four years. Priya Punia, Shafali Verma, S Meghana, and Amanjot Kaur were recognised as the best debutants in women's cricket, while Mayank Agarwal, Axar Patel, Shreyas, and Yashasvi Jaiswal received the distinction in the men's category.
