IND vs AUS: The BCCI has slammed India's star players for losing the five-match Test series to Australia by 3-1. As per PTI, not a single player from the national would be allowed to pick and choose any bilateral series.

This decision would impact all those players who play in all three formats. Although the team management has separated the T20I and ODI teams after winning the 2024 World Cup win, there are lots of factors, which were taken into consideration. It will also affect players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who took rest earlier owing to workload management.

As per some sources, the players would have to state medical reasons if they want to pull out of any series. The team management has already told the star players to play in domestic tournaments after Gambhir reckoned that all those who are interested in playing in Test cricket should play in the Ranji Trophy as well.

NO KNEE-JERK REACTION

On Saturday, the BCCI reviewed India's horrific tour Down Under during a two-hour-long meeting. Rohit and head coach Gautam Gambhir attended this meeting but the board didn't take any knee-jerk reaction as the reason for this debacle was put mainly on the woeful form of star players.

BCCI President Roger Binny and Devajit Saikia attended this meeting with Gambhir and Rohit.

"There was a detailed discussion on the Border Gavaskar Trophy performance what all went wrong and the course correction required. But do not expect a hurried decision from the new dispensation of BCCI," a source was quoted as saying to PTI.

The Rohit Sharma-led lost the series for the first time in 10 years and with that, they were also knocked out from the WTC final race.

Since the Champions Trophy is around the clock, any reckless reaction would have affected the team badly.

Rohit, who was brutally slammed for his woeful performance, is also India's ODI skipper. They will only do so after the Champions League ends on March 9, as they will then be involved in the IPL.

The Men in Blue would next play a Test series against England later this year.
