Pakistan vs England: Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan has been facing fierce criticism from the fans due to his inconsistent performances in the fourth T20I against England on Thursday. He got out on a five-ball duck and dropped a few sitters during fielding. Azam has been going through a rough patch in the recent past and his poor form before the 2024 T20 World Cup has raised concerns. Azam is Ex-Pakistan skipper Moin Khan’s son and as per fans he is only selected in the squad due to that reason.
Social media users are trolling Azam Khan, with some of them saying that he is the perfect example of "nepotism", linking his selection in the Pakistan team with his father and ex-Pak legend Moin Khan. Of the four matches between England and Pakistan, two of them were washed out while the remaining two were won by England. In the two matches, Azam Khan scored only 11 runs with one duck.

Azam Khan is the best example of nepotism in our country. Mediocrity rules here in every department. Shameless people who persisted with him must be charged and sentenced. This is a criminal act not a simple mistake.

The Jos Buttler-led side, who are the defending champions, performed brilliantly as they defeated Pakistan by seven wickets on Thursday ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. The Babar Azam-led side could only post a meagre target of 157 runs while batting first as England’s Adil Rashid, who was the Man of the Match winner, registered figures of 27/2 after bowling in four overs. Then openers Phil Salt (45) and Jos Buttler (39) stitched a match-winning partnership of 82 runs in seven overs.

It was Harry Brook, who scored the winning runs as he smashed a huge six in Haris Rauf’s over, who was the pick among the Pakistan bowlers as he registered figures of 3/38, while England chased down the target with three overs remaining.
With this win, the Jos Buttler-led side took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the four-match T20I series, where matches at Cardiff and Headingley were abandoned due to incessant rains. "We have worked hard in training and there is a good feeling around the squad," Buttler was quoted as saying on Sky Sports after the match.
