Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024: Less than 24 hours are left for the much-awaited five-match Border-Gavaskar trophy series to begin, where the Men in Blue chose an optional training session. What surprised everyone was that Rishabh Pant was the only one to take advantage of this session as he was involved in an intense practice session in Perth.

The star Indian wicket-keeper batter was seen sweating it out with throwdown specialists Nuwan Seneviratne and Raghu as he tried to work on his batting skills to get accustomed to the pacy and bouncy nature of the pitch at the Optus stadium. His resilience was evident in the optional training session, which also emphasized that he is ready to make a huge impact in this series.

On the other hand, the Indian team's coaching staff, including head coach Gautam Gambhir and BCCI chief selector Ajith Agarkar, were seen taking a hard look at the Perth wicket. This showed their tactical approach as they looked to take advantage of their strength in the first match.

India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah talked about their ability to adjust to the Australian conditions. He also spoke about their training sessions at WACA and revealed, "A lot of guys are coming here for the first time. There is a little more bounce and pace on these wickets than India. We have got ample time to adjust.”

As there is just a day left for the prestigious five-match Test series, the Men in Blue will aim to continue their dominance and since Rishabh Pant would be spearheading the batting lineup, the fans would hope that he would repeat his heroics once again.
