Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament: Suryakumar Yadav has a huge fan following in the whole country and the star batter always listens to the request of his fans. In the ongoing Buchi Babu invitational tournament, Suryakumar Yadav was spotted fielding at the boundary line. His fans surrounded him at the maidan as they wanted to catch a glimpse of the skipper of the shortest format. He did agree to take pictures and also gave autographs to a few fans in the match. A video went viral where he was seen taking selfies with the fans and assured them that he would retake pictures once the game was over. But the fans didn't listen to him and asked Suryakumar for his autograph at that moment.

The situation went haywire as the police officers had to interfere and separate the crowd from the star batter, who was standing at the deep mid-wicket boundary and also was involved in a heart-warming gesture by obliging to their requests. A lot of them were school kids, who got excited after they got his autograph. This incident occurred on the first day of the match between TNCA XI and Mumbai at Shri Ramakrishna College Cricket Ground. Sarfaraz Khan is leading the Mumbai team which has batters like Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer. They posted a respectable target of 295/5 on the first day, where their three batters scored fifties each.

The ongoing Buchi Babu tournament is just preparation for the upcoming Duleep Trophy, which will begin on September 5 in Bengaluru. Suryakumar admitted that he wants to make a comeback in India's Test squad and for that he is currently playing in the domestic tournament to seal his spot in the longest format.

Suryakumar aims for a Test comeback

"Red-ball cricket has always been my priority. When I grew up in the Maidans of Mumbai and played a lot of local cricket, I started playing with the red cherry. The love for the longest format began there and has always been there. I've taken part in a lot of First Class matches for more than 10 years now and I still cherish playing this format. There's no question about it and that's why I'm here before the Duleep Trophy," Suryakumar was quoted as saying to Sports Star.

"There are a lot of people who have worked hard to earn their place and even I want to earn that spot again. I made my debut for India in Tests. After that, I got injured as well. There were a lot of people who got an opportunity and have done well too. They deserve that opportunity right now", he concluded.

The Men in Blue would be playing 10 Test matches this year, of which the most important one would be the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, which would be held later this year.
