Champions Trophy 2025: Mohsin Naqvi, who is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to meet Emirates Cricket Board head Mubashir Usmani in Dubai amid speculations that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in a hybrid model next year. As per a statement released by PCB, Naqvi has informed Usmani that they are prepared to hold the Champions Trophy and that they are right on schedule.

Usmani is also currently the chairman of ICC's associate members committee.

As per sources, Naqvi has also reckoned that the situation in his country is stable and all those teams, who would be participating in the upcoming tournament would be given state-level security.

He also revealed that all the stadiums, which would be holding the mega-event are fully prepared and right on time and the Pakistan fans are eagerly waiting to watch one of the best teams and the players in action in Pakistan.

On Friday, the ICC also issued an ultimatum to Pakistan that they should either accept the hybrid model for hosting the 2025 Champions Trophy or else they would lose the hosting rights after they remained firm on their stance during the executive board meeting.

This emergency meeting in Dubai was supposed to reveal the schedule of the mega event, which would be held in February-March next year but failed to conclude after PCB rejected the hybrid model since India won't be travelling to their country due to security reasons.

It should be noted here that a lot of ICC board members were sympathetic towards Pakistan but Naqvi was still told to accept the hybrid model as it was the only solution to this problem.

If the 'hybrid' model is accepted, then India's Champions Trophy matches would be held in the UAE.
