The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia said that it remains uncertain whether Indian captain Rohit Sharma will participate in the ICC's pre-tournament activities for the 2025 Champions Trophy, including a press conference and official photo shoot scheduled to take place in Lahore.

Pakistan will host the event, but India's matches are headed to the UAE due to the persisting political tensions between the two countries. All pre-tournament media events will still happen in Pakistan—captain's day, and pre-tournament media events are days where team leaders come together for gala photo opportunities surrounded by trophies and initiate media participation.

It remains to be seen if the ICC decides to hold these events in Pakistan or shift the pre-tournament captains' engagements to the UAE.

"Whether Rohit Sharma travels to Pakistan for ICC media engagements is something that's still not decided," Saikia told PTI.

Meanwhile, the possibility of Indian captain Rohit travelling to Pakistan for pre-tournament events, such as a photo shoot and press conference, is still being weighed by the Indian cricket board.

The Champions Trophy will be held from February 19 and India will play its share of matches in Dubai after citing security concerns as the reason for refusing to travel to Pakistan.
