Mhatre represents Mumbai in domestic cricket and he is playing for CSK as Ruturaj Gaikwad's replacement. He has featured in nine first-class matches and seven List-A matches till now. He made his debut for Mumbai in domestic cricket during the Irani Cup match against the Rest Of India.
