Colombo Weather Report, Australia women vs Pakistan women match: Pakistan will only be eyeing their first win of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 when they face mighty Australia in match 9 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

Australia won their opening match against New Zealand before their game against Sri Lanka was completely washed out due to rain at the same venue. Considering the low and slow surface in Colombo, Australia might go for an additional spinner against Pakistan.

Pacers have also enjoyed the assistance with the new ball at the iconic venue. The average first innings score here has been 256 in 9 ODIs since 2023. When it comes to the head-to-head battle between both teams, Australia have been dominant over the years as they enjoy a 16-0 overall and 5-0 in World Cup record.

Aiming to pick up the momentum with their first win of the tournament after defeats against Bangladesh and India, Pakistan will unlikely be making any changes. "As a team, we have to focus on ourselves. We know they're a good side, but we can't give them too many loose balls. Everyone knows our team is strong in bowling, and our spinners and attacking bowlers could cause problems for two or three of their batters - so that might help us in this game," Pakistan's Sidra Amin said.
