It is called a 'movind day' by the pundits but this game has moved at a brisk pace and might as well gets wrapped before the fifth day or so, given how things have panned out so far. But as of now, India holds a strong position after taking the broad lead of 308 runs. Whereas, Bangladesh is aiming for a miraculous comeback.

Rohit Sharma have introduced both Ashwin and Jadeja in tandem to counter the pair. The spin twins who bailed India out of trouble in batting, are doing their best to get a breakthrough here. However, there is no assistance for spinners so far.

Taskin bowls the next over as well. And he immediately strikes back by dismissing the in-form batter Ravindra Jadeja. Akash Deep is the new batter. And once its a good over from Taskin. 

The players of both the teams have entered the field as action on Day 2 has began. Taskin Akmed begins the first over on Day 2 and immediately makes an appeal of dismissal for Ravindra Jadeja. The second new ball has already been taken. Taskin bowled his third consecutive dot ball. A good maiden over from Taskin Ahmed. 

"I said a few weeks back as well that considering the amount of international matches Rohit and Virat played in the last five years, they could have been picked for the Duleep Trophy and I am sure the time out there would have just held them at last in the first innings where they suddenly came out cold and having had to bat first", he commented. 

Both captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed cheaply, managing just six runs each, leaving India in an early bind. 

Bangladesh need to get rid of R Ashwin and Jadeja as soon as possible as the game is drifting away from them. This is the last recognised batting pair and if they can get the duo or even one of them out early, they can wrap up India inning soon. The conditions will be favourable for bowling in the morning session. 

Bangladesh were 10 overs short of their 90 over target and now face a risk of getting the WTC points docket. They lost three WTC points during the 1st Test vs Pakistan as well. 

R Ashwin broke a plethora of records during his magnificent century. He is now the second leading century maker in Tests while batting at No.8 or below, only behind Daniel Vettori. R Ashwin has four hundreds while batting at 8 or below while Vettori had 5. Ashwin has also joined the rare list of players with multiple hundreds and five-wicket hauls at the venue.

R Ashwin scored a brilliant 102 not out on Day 1 and Ravindra Jadeja made 86 not out to bail India out from a miserable position of 144/6. India will be mighty pleased with the effort of Ashwin and Jadeja who built up a 195-run partnership to bail the side out. Bangladesh, who were ruling the roost for the first two sessions, were left clueless courtesy of a brilliant partnership between the two all-rounders. 

Ravichandran Ashwin ends the day on a high with an unbeaten 108 alongside Ravindra Jadeja, who stands at 86 not out.

Two years back Bangladesh defeated New Zealand for the first time in a Test. It was a huge statement. Since then, they have beaten Ireland and Afghanistan in one-off Tests, have drawn with the Kiwis at home and then came the big Pakistan win.
