Indian cricket fraternity stood tall with the country's armed forces amid their rising military tensions with Pakistan. Soon after the confirmation of the suspension of the ongoing IPL 2025 for one week, the current and former cricketers expressed their solidarity with the nation.

Rattled and defeated, Pakistan attacked India on May 7 after India's Operation Sindoor destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

Jasprit Bumrah, India's star pacer, was quick to laud the Indian defence forces for their courage and bravery.

"Grateful to our armed forces for their courage and bravery. We salute them and remain forever in their debt for everything that they do to keep us safe," wrote Bumrah.

Earlier, the senior Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also mentioned their respect for the armed forces and acknowledged their incredible services to the nation. Indian batter Shubman Gill, who was captaining the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025. He said that the nation is above everything in these tough times.

"Nation is above all in such times. Our soldiers, whose valiant efforts ensure our safety, and their families, who make such sacrifices for the nation, we pray for you and for all. Jai Hind," Gill wrote on X.

It is to be noted that India had warned Pakistan of serious consequences if they retaliated, claiming that it didn't intend to target civilians or military establishments in Pakistan during their 'Operation Sindoor', but terrorists. The Pakistan government didn't learn from the mistake and made multiple attacks on the Indian forces on Thursday night, but got a decisive response to this unprovoked escalation.

KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav also came up with supporting posts for the Indian armed forces amid their ongoing confrontations with Pakistan.

"To every member of our esteemed Armed Forces and to the families who stand behind them - we salute your bravery, sacrifice and strength. As a nation, we stand firmly behind you and thank you for protecting us. Jai Hind," KL wrote on X.

"Massively proud of our forces and their resilience. You are the reason we stay unharmed at our homes. Big salute to your strength and determination in protecting us at the orders. We thank you. Jai Hind," said Suryakumar Yadav.

Former Indian cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik were also quick to express their support for the Indian Army.
