CSK Ball Tampering 2025A segment of cricket fans on social media has raised allegations of ball tampering against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during their IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians on March 23. A viral video has surfaced in which CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed appear to exchange something just before Khaleel was set to bowl.

In the footage, Gaikwad is seen approaching Khaleel while holding the ball. As they converse with their backs turned away from the camera, Khaleel seemingly takes something from his left pocket before handing it to Gaikwad, who then discreetly places it into his own pocket. The video has fueled speculation among fans, with some accusing CSK of engaging in unfair practices.

Despite the controversy, CSK emerged victorious in the high-stakes encounter, securing a 4-wicket win over MI. Opting to field first after winning the toss, CSK struck early as Khaleel removed Rohit Sharma in the very first over and dismissed Ryan Rickleton soon after. Mumbai struggled further when Will Jacks fell cheaply, but a 50-run partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma stabilized their innings.

The momentum shifted again when Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad dismantled MI’s middle order. He claimed four wickets, including Suryakumar Yadav—stumped brilliantly by MS Dhoni. As a result, MI could only post 155 runs in their 20 overs. CSK comfortably chased the target, thanks to half-centuries from Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Khaleel finished with an impressive three-wicket haul, playing a key role in CSK's successful start to their IPL 2025 campaign.
