CSK vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2023: CSK Defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad By 7 Wickets

CSK have reached third place in the standings with eight points in six matches. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are placed at one and two spots with eight points but they have better net run rate rate than CSK.

Devon Conway remained unbeaten on 77* as Chennai Super Kings comfotably chased 135 in 18.4 overs to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets.

10 runs from Umran Malik's over as Conway hits back-to-back fours to finish the over on high. CSK are marching toward another win in the IPL and two points are just few runs away from here. 

Eight runs from the over as Ambati Rayudu smashes four of the last ball. CSK are in a comfortable position to win the match from here.

Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad give an absolutely solid start to Chennai Super Kings in their 135 chase. The duo made full utilisation of the field restrictions in the powerplay overs and kept the run rate high.

"We'll bowl first. This pitch is 50-50 because it is slightly cloudy. There might be dew so always better to chase. All packed together on the points table, we need to do well and not look at the table at this moment. Combination wise, we have been fortunate because we haven't had all players available. The headaches start later when everyone becomes available. We are playing the same XI, and have the same impact subs as well," said Dhoni at the toss.

"I'm not 100% sure yet. Naturally, we just landed yesterday and we've just come to the field now. So we'll have a look at the pitch now and if it suggests it's going to spin then it would be silly not to try find another spinner that we can have at our disposal. So yeah, once we've assessed the conditions and also had a look at the previous games, we'll see which 11 or 12 we can select," said SRH captain Aiden Markram on the possibility of including a third spinner in the playing XI.
