DC vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2023: Sunrisers Hyderabad End Losing Streak, Beat Delhi Capitals By 9 Runs

Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced a sensational last over with his perfect yorker length as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Delhi Capitals by 9 runs. 

Delhi Capitals failed to chase 198 at their home ground on Saturday night.

Mayank Markande joins the party as he removed Priyam Garg (12) at the crucial juncture of the game. Delhi Capitals are in trouble as they kept on losing wickets in the last couple of overs. Axar Patel is the new batter in the middle.

Delhi Capitals are in trouble as they lose third wicket inside three overs. Akeal Hosein dismisses set-batter Mitchell Marsh for 63 in the 13th over. Delhi can't afford losing one more wicket here. 

Sarfaraz Khan has arrived in the middle as an Impact Player substitute.

The second-wicket partnership between Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh is taking Delhi Capitals to a solid position in the match. Salt is inching close to his fifty.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked David Warner on the first ball of the innings and gave an early dent to Delhi Capitals in the powerplay. Phil Salt is the new batter in the middle.

Heinrich Klaasen's unbeaten 53 off 27 balls guided Hyderabad Sunrisers to 197/6 in 20 overs.

For Delhi, Mitchell Marsh returned with figures of 4-27 in his four overs spell.

Mitchell Marsh bowled another tight over and picked his fourth wicket in the third over. He removed Abdul Samad for 28 as Hyderabad lose their sixth wicket.   

SRH 172/6 after 18 overs.

Axar Patel scalps big wicket for Delhi as he removed Abhishek Sharma for 67. Hyderabad lose their fifth wicket and another partnership has been put to an end by Delhi bowlers. 

SRH 126/5 after 14 overs.

Heinrich Klaasen hits six and four to push the run rate in the middle overs. The partnership is looking strong for Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) 107/4 after 11 overs.

16 runs from Mukesh Sharma's last over as Rahul Tripathi hits six on the last ball. Tripathi and Abhishek are taking Hyderabad forward in the powerplay after losing Mayank Agarwal. 

Ishant Sharma strikes early in the powerplay and removed opener Mayank Agarwal for five runs. Rahul Tripathi joins Abhishek Sharma in the middle.   

"It's about putting the best foot forward, and adapt to the conditions. We are losing wickets in a cluster. Need to hit down the wicket, need to put a good batting performance. We got to bowl well in the first six overs. Home and away (games) that's a bit challenging, but we are enjoying it. Priyam Garg makes his debut, Aman Khan is out," Delhi Capitals skipper David Warner. 

"We are going to bat. Wicket looks on the drier side, there shouldn't be much dew tonight. Hopefully we bat well and put a good total. All experimentation is finished, time to get results. Time for the guys to express themselves and enjoy. We lost Washi, that's a big loss for us. It's an opportunity for someone to cement a spot. We are letting ourselves down with the bat. We haven't been up to par, haven't posted good totals. Akeil makes his debut, Samad also comes back," said Markram at the toss. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Aiden Markram has won the toss and opted to bat first. 

"We had some inclement weather earlier but the pitch was covered and unaffected by it, hopefully those clouds are blown away. 60m boundary on one side, 67m on the other side, 74m hit down the ground. All three games here have been won by the chasing team, but the highest score batting first is 172. We are seeing a surface that doesn't have grass, we are seeing a surface that is low scoring. Absolutely no grass-cover at all. Make best use of the surface by batting first," reckon Ian Bishop and Kevin Pietersen.
