Australia spinner Nathan Lyon has taken a jibe at England after the Ashes series ended in a 2-2 draw, claiming that he couldn't see any Bazball from the hosts in the first two Tests.
Lyon was part of only the first two Tests as he sustained an injury during the second match at Lord's and was ruled out of the rest of the matches.

The off-spinner went on to say that he wasn't really convinced about England's Bazball approach while adding there's a lot of smoke and mirrors with their aggressive style of play.
“I know everyone keeps talking about BazBall, to be honest, I didn’t really see BazBall throughout my two Tests again them,” said Lyon.
“I’m 2-0 in my Tests against BazBall I look at the Australian cricket team and the batters we’ve had, David Warner for example, I’ve seen him score hundreds in a session and that’s off playing an attacking brand of cricket."
“I think there’s a lot of smoke and mirrors with BazBall, if I’m being honest with you, and I feel like if you’re going to play an aggressive brand of cricket anyway, it’s about being able to go up and down in gears and understanding the moments in the game.”
Lyon took nine wickets in the two matches he played and also provided a brave moment when he came out to bat in the second innings at Lord's with an injured knee and played his shots in order to save the game for his team.
However, the hosts were clinical enough in the last three games, winning the third and fifth Test while the fourth Test at Manchester ended in a draw.

It was evident that Pat Cummins' side was caught off guard for not having an effective replacement for Lyon with England opting to make changes that put in effective performances for the team consistently.
The visitors had a golden opportunity to end the long wait for their first Test series win in England since 2001 but were outplayed by the hosts who managed to repeat the series result of 2019.
