DPL 2025: India fast bowler and North Delhi Strikers captain Harshit Rana's heated outburst on the field has landed him in trouble, as he has been punished for giving an aggressive send-off during a Delhi Premier League 2025 (DPL) match on Monday.
The controversy erupted early during West Delhi’s innings in the third over as they sought to overhaul a target of 166.
Captain Harshit Rana rose to the occasion as he bowled Ayush Doseja with a delivery that left the stumps flying. But what stirred the drama was the pacer giving Doseja a send-off, gesturing for him to return to the pavilion.
However, Rana’s outburst didn’t go unrecognised as he has been fined 10 per cent of the match fees for breaching the code of conduct under Article 2.5.
Harshit confessed to a Level 1 offence, which reads, ‘using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the match.’
“Harshit Rana has been fined 10% of the match fees for breaching the Adani Delhi Premier League T20 Code of Conduct. Rana admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.5 and accepted Match Referee's sanction,” said DPL in a statement.

In the run chase, West Delhi Lions were restricted to 154/8 with Deepanshu Gulia (3/44) playing a decisive role for his team, North Delhi Strikers, with the ball.
