IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2024 Final: Team India players Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja were seen getting involved in a hilarious exchange as the Men in Blue celebrated their first anniversary of winning the 2024 T20 World Cup in Birmingham. The BCCI took to their official X account and posted a video, where the hotel staff is seen getting two cakes with 'Team India' and 'Champions of T20 World Cup 2024' written on them.

Captain Shubman Gill, who wasn't part of the main side, requested Mohammed Siraj to come forward and also told Yashasvi Jaiswal that when the other players pushed Arshdeep Singh, who was the country's best bowler along with Jasprit Bumrah, were seen cutting the cake.

Arshdeep stepped back and Bumrah, who was adjudged the Player of the Series award, cut the cake along with Siraj. The players took a bite and shared with each other and that's when Pant hilariously trolled Bumrah and Siraj that it had also been one year ever since Jadeja announced his retirement from the shortest format. Jadeja then quickly reminded him that he had retired from just one format and that made everyone around them laugh.

Jadeja had a forgetful outing during the mega event but the Indian team was quite balanced and that's why their campaign was so successful. Jadeja announced his retirement from T20Is along with players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Although both Rohit and Virat called time on their Test career earlier this year, Jadeja is still playing in the longest format. Even though speculation was rife that he was inching closer to announcing retirement from either Tests or ODIs.

Rishabh Pant was the standout performer during the series opener against England in Leeds and the Shubman Gill-led side will now hope that Jadeja and Siraj bounce back during the second Test, which will be held in Edgbaston from Wednesday, July 2. And especially when there's no clarity on Bumrah's availability for the second match owing to his workload management.

The Men in Blue had an off-day on Sunday and they would be participating in an extensive training session on Monday and will then take a lighter training session on Tuesday so as to get in the groove for the match.
