England vs Australia 5th ODI: Australia won the fifth ODI by 49 runs against England by DLS method at the County Ground in Bristol on Sunday, September 29.
Australia won the five-match series 3-2, putting up yet another remarkable performance with the bat in the decider before rain made a massive interruption.
Chasing the big target, Australia made 165/2 in just 20.4 overs before rain arrived and were 49 runs ahead of the DLS par score which was 116/2.
The in-form batter Travis Head and Matthew Short gave the visitors a fiery start and stitched a 78-run opening stand.

While Head was dismissed by Brydon Carse for 31 in the eighth over, Short went on to score a brilliant half-century.
He scored 58 runs in just 30 balls on the back of seven fours and four sixes before Matthew Potts got him in the 13th over.
The stand-in skipper Steve Smith looked in great touch and remained unbeaten on 36 off 48 balls. He added a 47-runs for the third with Josh Inglis (28).
After being put into bat first, England posted a huge total of 309 before getting bowled out in the final over.
Ben Duckett smashed a magnificent century. He scored 107 runs with the help of 13 fours and two sixes.
Skipper Harry Brook continued his brilliant form and scored 72 runs in just 52 deliveries. He hit three fours and seven sixes.
Australia had won the first two matches before England bounced back with wins in the third and fourth matches to force the result into the final match.

Travis Head for his four wickets and 31 runs was adjudged as the Player of the Match. He also won the Player of the Series award, having scored 248 runs and picked six wickets in four matches.
"Would have liked to go (and play some better knocks) in a couple of games, but it was a good opportunity. Moving really well, would like to add one good score. Just relaxed. I am moving well, doing things well and enjoying this environment. I think we have played well forever, especially in this format. We need to make sure we get up and running," Head said at the post-match presentation.
