At the same time, West Indies looked clueless during the 1st ODI and will try to bounce back during the second match in order to keep their hopes alive of winning the series. While bowling first in Birmingham, the bowlers were seen struggling and had a hard time taking wickets.Except Gudakesh Motie, who conceded 39 runs in 7 overs, none of the othetr bowlers could bowl at an economy of lessthan 6.80.

While chasing a mammoth target of 401 runs, they fell flat none of the batters could score more than 30 runs. Even though they did lose the series opener, they would be fielding an unchanged playing XI for the second ODI.
