England vs India 3rd Test: Soon after Mohammed Siraj's dismissal, England players were quick to celebrate as they ran around the iconic Lord's after a thrilling 22-run victory against India in the third Test on Monday.

Siraj's resistance came to an end in one of the most unfortunate ways, after which he sat down in disappointment, giving his wicket away to Shoaib Bashir. The match witnessed intense action, but what unfolded after the contest won many hearts as England players were seen consoling dejected Siraj, who was dismissed for 4 runs as India's final wicket.

While India were bowled out for 170 runs in their second innings and fell short in the tricky run chase, England's Joe Root and Zak Crawley came down and lauded Siraj for his effort at the same time putting behind all the on-field spats that took place throughout the five days at Lord's.

Soon, England skipper Ben Stokes came up with a pat on Siraj's chest for the pacer's crucial contribution, full of patience with the bat in the final session of the decisive day. The visuals of the whole instance of heartfelt gestures have gone viral on social media.

Stokes also shared a warm hug with Ravindra Jadeja, who batted brilliantly in both innings, but his effort was not enough on the final day to take India home. Both Stokes and Jadeja shared the dressing room together at the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Jadeja's heroic effort went in vain as well. He smashed a fighting fifty and remained unbeaten on 61 runs, which he scored on the back of four boundaries and a six.

Notably, the loss of Rishabh Pant (9 off 12 balls), KL Rahul (39 off 58) and Washington Sundar (0 off 4) inside the first hour made the chase an improbable task for India. Washington was the next to come in and he lasted only four balls with Archer taking a sharp catch to his right off his own bowling. The lower order showed a lot of promise as Jasprit Bumrah's 5-run contribution and 54-ball stay at the crease kept India's hopes alive for a while.

It was Stokes who ended up breaking the partnership between Jadeja and Bumrah with the latter's wicket before Bashir put the final nail in the coffin.
