New Zealand National Cricket Team vs England National Cricket Team Match:

England's standout batter Joe Root added another gem to his decorated crown as he achieved a significant milestone by scoring his 36th century in Test cricket on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington.

With his 36th Test ton, Root has drawn level with the Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid. This accomplishment has carried Root forward in the all-time list of Test century-makers to the fifth position in the hierarchy.

On 98, the veteran England batter showcased his fearless approach to batting, unleashing a daring ramp shot off William O'Rourke's delivery. The ball soared over the head of wicketkeeper Tom Blundell, racing to the boundary and sparking excitement among the fans.

He hit another boundary, this time the 11th for his innings, holding his aggression in tact. The impressive 106 off 130 deliveries finally did come to an end with the dismissal by William O'Rourke almost in the same over. As Root departed, England captain Ben Stokes declared the innings.

By the close of the 2nd Day, England were already well on their way to establishing a dominant position in the match, and they let Joe Root finish his assignment after starting on 73. As Root completed his hundred, he also entered the record books as the first English batter and only the fourth overall to score 100 or more 50s in Tests.

He shares this impressive milestone with some of the greatest batsmen the game has ever seen, including Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, and Ricky Ponting. Tendulkar holds the top spot with an incredible 119 scores of 50 or more, while Kallis and Ponting are tied in second place with 103 each.
