IND vs ENG 1st Test: Rishabh Pant continued to shine with his impressive glovework in the red-ball format as on Sunday he completed 150 catches in cricket’s longest format.

Pant carved his name in the elite list on day three of the first Test of the five-match series between India and England at Headingley in Leeds on Sunday.

In the 52nd over of the game, Prasidh Krishna dismissed Ollie Pope, as the host's batter edged behind to the wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant, who didn't have any trouble securing the ball.

Pant joined the elite list after taking 150 catches as a wicket-keeper, becoming the third Indian followed by Mahendra Singh Dhoni (256) and Syed Kirmani (160).

Earlier, Pant hit an audacious 134 off just 178 balls with the help of 12 fours and six sixes to entertain the Headingley crowd with his unorthodox batting on Day 2. The 'falling paddle', the post-century somersault, there was majesty and madness in equal measure in Pant's memorable knock.

Pant on Saturday went past MS Dhoni for the most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper in Test cricket, bringing up his seventh on the second day of the series opener against England here, and earning praise from the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar.

The wicketkeeper-batter struck a six off the first ball of the 100th over of India's first innings, clearing the fence off Shoaib Bashir to bring up the milestone. It was his first century since September 2024 when he scored 109 against Bangladesh.
