IPL 2025 Mega auction: The Indian Premier League is considered one of the biggest breeding grounds in the cricketing world. There are a lot of brilliant stories where lots of youngsters announce their arrival in style and then there are some seniors who revive their careers through this tournament once again. But there are some players, who also get disappointed when they don't get an IPL contract at the auction.

The best players of the cricketing world have participated in this cash-rich league tournament from time to time. But to give opportunities to young and upcoming talent and since the franchises are always looking for players, who might be suitable to their needs have led to some of the big players going unsold at the auctions. Let's take a look at three Indian fast bowlers who might most likely be going unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction:

1. Umran Malik

This youngster created a huge buzz with his raw pace in IPL 2022. He also received his maiden India call-up due to his brilliant performances. But due inconsistency in his bowling and continued injuries affected his career. He went from being an overnight sensation to eventually disappearing from the spotlight.

Malik played for Sunrisers Hyderabad from IPL 2021-2025. In these four years, he had played in 26 matches and had taken 29 wickets. Although he was lauded for his speed his indiscipline was quite visible due to his economy rate of 9.40 in his IPL career. Due to his injury concerns and indisciplined bowling action, the teams might not be interested in acquiring his services.

2. Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav has played for four IPL teams in his career. He had taken 146 wickets after playing in 148 matches. He was often recognized for his brilliant performance with the new ball. He represented Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024.

He had performed decently for all the teams that he had played for in his IPL career but his current form hasn't worked in his favour. Her had taken just nine wickets out of the 15 matches that he had played in the last two years. His economy in these two years was also close to 10. Considering his form and the fact that he is inching closer towards the fag end of his career, there are high chances that he might go unsold at the 2025 IPL mega auction.

3. Ishant Sharma

Ishan Sharma had represented the country for a very long time. Apart from having a brilliant Test career, Ishant performed brilliantly in IPL as well. But for the last two years, he hadn't been at his absolute best. He had played in 17 matches in the last two years, where he took 20 wickets and had an economy of 9. These figures are decent but aren't quite effective for a player of his stature. His current form as a player would have played a huge role in deciding his future at the tournament. And that is why the IPL teams might ignore him at the 2025 IPL mega auction.
