IND vs AUS 3rd Test: After hours of being tormented, India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah finally dismissed Travis Head as it edged one behind for a catch and he thus took a brilliant five-for at the Gabba in the ongoing Test series. Head scored 152 runs off 160 balls and had thus put the hosts in a commanding position by helping the team take a lead of more than 300 runs.

Bumrah took the wicket with the help of the second new ball, in the fifth ball of the 87th over. He bowled a lengthy delivery as the ball had touched the outside off and forced Head to lay the cover drive. Head did get distracted and mistimed the shot. His one hand came off and the ball had touched the edge of Rishabh Pant's chest he didn't commit any error and took the stunning catch.

Bumrah breathed a sigh of relief and then celebrated the dismissal.

Bumrah took his third wicket during the fag end of the day. He first dismissed Steve Smith, who got out after scoring 101 runs off 190 balls and thus ended his and Head's brilliant partnership of 241 runs and then forced Mitchell Marsh's edge as the ball went towards the slips during the 87th over. Once again the star India pacer spearheaded India's inexperienced bowling attack.

It was Bumrah's 17th wicket in the ongoing series and now his bowling average stands at 11.52. The rest of the Indian bowlers have taken 19 wickets at an average of 41.68.

This was one of the best knocks against the Men in Blue. Head had scored more than 150 runs for the second time against India and became just the second Australian batter to have achieved this milestone. He has scored 392 runs at an average of 98 and became the second-best batter after Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has scored 185 runs till now and Bumrah has been equally brilliant with the ball.

Due to Head's innings, Smith was also able to play at his own speed as he was able to survive a few dropped catches and lots of half chances and he brought up his first hundred of the series. Post their dismissals, the hosts had scored more than 350 runs in the 92 overs, where Alex Carey and Pat Cummins were in the middle and there was just an hour of game left for the day.
