GT vs SRH, IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s find of the season Nitish Kumar Reddy has reacted to the record-breaking auction bid for Andhra Premier League 2024. He was ecstatic when he realised that he was the most expensive player in the history of the tournament.  
 
Godaveri Titans bought Nitish Kumar Reddy for an amount of Rs. 15.6 lakh, which is the most for a player in the history of the auctions on Thursday. Nitish, who watched the auction from his hotel room, he ran out of words to express his excitement.  
 
His fellow teammates recorded a video of his reactions and that went viral on social media.

SRH bought Nitish Kumar Reddy for his base price of Rs 20 lakh and will be earning almost the same amount at the Andhra Premier League, which is a six-team tournament and will be held later this year.  

His performance for SRH this season made him one of the finds before the Andhra T20 league auction. He had started a bidding war at the auction but then Godaveri Titans broke their banks and bought him.  
 
He had scored 239 runs for SRH in IPL 2024, and he thus helped the team get rid of their middle-order woes. After replacing Mayank Agarwal in the XI, Nitish, who is a fan of Ben Stokes and Hardik Pandya, has been batting at a strike rate of more than 150. He also has taken three wickets till now at the tournament.

Nitish, who has represented India B at the U19 level, has played in 17 first-class matches, where he has scored 566 runs, and has played in 22 List A games, where he has scored 403 runs and at an average of 36.63.  
 
One of his best performances came in the Ranji Trophy last year, where he played as a bowling all-rounder. He has taken 25 wickets at an average of 18.76 and has scored 366 runs at an average of 36.60.
