Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024: India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently representing Baroda in the ongoing domestic tournament. Hardik, who played a huge role in helping India lift their second T20 World Cup title earlier this year, smashed 47 runs off just 23 balls on Friday in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 clash against Tripura in Indore. He came into bat at No.4 position and smashed three fours and five sixes in his innings.

He had smashed four sixes in the first over itself. In the 10th over, he went all-guns-blazing against Tripura's Parvez Sultan and smashed a six on the first, third, fourth, and sixth ball and then had also hit a four on the fifth ball.

Hardik, who had also led the T20I side from the front, scored 28 runs in that over and helped his team inch closer to chasing the target of 110 runs. However, he did fall short of his well-deserving fifty as MB Mura Singh dismissed him on the third ball of the 11th over.

Hardik, who was recently seen in action in the recently concluded four-match T20I series against South Africa earlier this month, was in sublime form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He first scored an unbeaten knock of 74 runs off 35 balls against Gujarat last week and then scored an unbeaten knock of 41 runs off 21 balls in their clash against Uttarakhand.

In the previous match, Hardik then scored 69 runs off just 30 balls and helped his team chase the mammoth target of 222 runs against Tamil Nadu.

Besides his batting, he also impressed everyone with his bowling performances, as in the four matches that he has played till now, he has taken two wickets.

After scoring 231 runs, under his kitty, Hardik is lying at the second position in the list of highest run-scorers of the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.
