IND vs CAN, 2024 T20 World Cup: Ex-India cricketer Akash Chopra has come in support of star India batter Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli just before their last group stage match against Canada. It should be noted here that both performed inconsistently in the mega-event as openers.
Rohit has scored 68 runs after playing in three matches till now at an average of 34 and at a strike rate of 126.63. At the same time, Kohli scored just five runs after playing in three matches. Since neither of them has fired well with the bat, Chopra is expecting them to bounce back in their last group stage match.
"I feel, if this match happens, Virat Kohli could be the Man of the Match. I am expecting runs from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's bats. In bowling, if Kuldeep Yadav plays, I am expecting at least three wickets from him. I feel Ravindra Jadeja will eventually come to the fore as well and pick up wickets," Chopra was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

He also said that the team management should replace Mohammed Siraj with Kuldeep Yadav due to the turning nature of the surface in Florida.
Chopra suggests bringing Kuldeep in place of Siraj
"There might be one change in the team. Kuldeep Yadav might come in and a fast bowler might have to sit out because the Florida pitch traditionally turns and helps the spinners. I see Kuldeep Yadav playing. Kuldeep Yadav in place of Siraj - unfortunate, I know - and that's about it," he further said.
Siraj has bowled brilliantly in the mega-event till now at an economy of 6.50. But he hasn’t taken wickets quite regularly as he has taken just one of the three matches that he has played till now. There is a high chance that he might be replaced by mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who is supposed to play a huge role on the spin-friendly pitches in the West Indies. The Rohit Sharma-led side has qualified for the Super 8 stage and will aim to end their group stage on a high.
