ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024: ICC have announced the revised schedule for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup which is scheduled to be played in UAE from October 6.

The 18-day tournament will start on October 3 with the first fixture between Bangladesh and Scotland in Sharjah.

The marquee fixture between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be played on October 6 in Dubai.

Notably, the tournament was shifted from Bangladesh to UAE with the former being the dedicated hosts.

The ninth edition of the tournament will run till October 20 and the matches are scheduled to be played in Dubai and Sharjah.

The 23-match event will witness the top 10 women’s teams in the world in action, who are divided into two groups of five each.

The groups remain the same with six-time champion Australia drawn alongside 2020 runners-up India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Group A.

South Africa and England are placed alongside 2016 champions West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland in Group B.

If India advances to the semi-finals, they will feature in Semi-final 1.

Every team will play four group matches at the tournament with the top two teams from each group making it to the semifinals which will be played on October 17 and 18.

The final of the tournament is scheduled to be played on October 20 in Dubai.

A reserve day has been fixed for both the semi-finals and the final.

There will be 10 warm-up matches held prior to the tournament, beginning from 28 September to 1 October.
