ICC Champions Trophy 2025: ICC Champions Trophy 2025: The International Cricket Council, on Monday, announced the team of the tournament for Champions Trophy 2025 after India lifted the title with a 4-wicket win over New Zealand in the final on March 9.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium witnessed yet another masterclass performance from India as they won their third Champions Trophy title, maintaining their winning run as well in this year's edition.

A total of five Indian players were included in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 team of the tournament whereas star all-rounder Axar Patel was named the 12th man.

India's star batter Virat Kohli was placed at his usual no.3 position after he had yet another impactful outing in the major tournament. He ended the tournament as the fifth-leading run-getter with 218 runs to his name at an average of 54.50. Kohli smashed a match-winning century against arch-rivals Pakistan in the group A match and played a crucial 84-run knock in the semi-final success over world champions Australia.

Teammates Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul join him in the middle-order after impressive tournaments.

Iyer was India’s top run-scorer, with two half-centuries helping him to 243 runs in total, while Rahul finished with an average of 140 thanks to unbeaten knocks of 42 and 34 in the semi-final and final respectively.

New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner was named captain of the Champions Trophy 2025 team of the tournament which also included his three more teammates in Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry.

While Santner, Rachin and Phillips had influential efforts in their respective capacities, Henry ended the tournament as its leading wicket-taker with 10 wickets in 4 games. He missed the final against India due to a shoulder injury and his absence made a huge difference in the summit clash.

The Afghanistan duo of Ibrahim Zadran and Azamatullah Omarzai completed the starting XI in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 team of the tournament.
