ICC ODI Ranking: Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana on Tuesday reigns supreme as she reclaimed the No.1 spot in the latest ICC ODI ranking for women batters, after her half-century against Australia in the first ODI of the three-match series.
In the opening game of the ODI series against Australia in Mullanpur, Mandhana slammed a solid half-century, scoring 58 runs off 63 balls. However, her innings couldn't crack into a team triumph as Australia chased down the target with ease.
The No.1 spot will grow Mandhana's spirit going into the Women's Cricket World Cup, which starts on September 30.
Mandhana gained seven rating points from the match, now holds 735, leading the chart with four points ahead of England's Nat Sciver-Brunt. England's batter slipped to second place with 731.
Mandhana first held the No.1 ODI batter ranking in 2019 and has now had two stints in the top position in 2025.
India batter Pratika Rawal also gained big in the latest rankings, jumping four spots to 42nd, while top-order batter Harleen Deol is now placed 43rd after a well-made 54 against Australia.
For Australia, left-handed stalwart Beth Mooney rose three places to fifth following her undefeated 77, while Annabel Sutherland (up four places) and Phoebe Litchfield (up 13 rungs) shared the 25th place following half-centuries in the match their team won by eight wickets.
Pacer Kim Garth and spinner Alana King climbed one spot to be fourth and fifth in the ODI bowling ranking, their highest ever.
India spinner Sneh Rana, who bagged a wicket in the first ODI against Australia, climbed five places to move to 13th, with England spinner Sophie Ecclestone keeping her place as the No.1-ranked bowler.
