ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 Points Table: South Africa's Tazmin Brits scored her fifth hundred of the calendar year to help her side script a commanding win over New Zealand in their clash in the ongoing Women's World Cup on Monday in Indore. It is worth noting that the Laura Wolvaardt-led South Africa earned their maiden win at the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

With her hundred, Brits broke the record of India's batting mainstay Smriti Mandhana, who had a record of four hundreds each in 2024 and 2025.

In the bowling department, Mlaba was the clear game-changer, as she triggered a middle-order collapse with the scalps of skipper Sophie Devine (85 off 98 balls, 9x4) and Brooke Halliday (45) to ensure that the Kiwis were restricted below 250.

From being at the bottom of the standings with the worst NRR of -3.773, the Laura Wolvaardt-led side jumped to fifth position with NRR -1.424.

Here's what the captains said after the result:

"Definitely, such an amazing turnaround. I think this is what we knew that we were capable of in that first game. So we're really happy that we could put that behind us and bounced back today," Wolvaardt said during the presentation.

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine admitted her side lost the plot after being well placed to post a bigger total.

"I think even though it was a different pitch to the first game, I still thought it was a 270-280 wicket. I thought we got ourselves into a position to launch, and then we just continually lost wickets. It's hard to really have a crack at the back end when you're doing that.

"So, look, credit has to go to South Africa. The way they batted at the top there, they negated what we threw down at them. Disappointing for us today."
