IND-A vs AUS-A, 2nd unofficial Test: KL Rahul produced a remarkable effort with the bat as he smashed an incredible century for India A in its 412-run chase against Australia A in the second unofficial Test in Lucknow on Friday.

Rahul reached his hundred off 136 balls, hitting a boundary off Corey Rocchiccioli for his 12th boundary to bring up the milestone. The 33-year-old had earlier retired hurt on 74 on Thursday but returned at the start of the final day to continue his innings.

This was Rahul’s 22nd First-Class hundred, adding to a magnificent run with the bat. He had a memorable outing in England during India's recently concluded five-match Test series. He ended up smashing 532 runs at an average of 53.20 with two centuries in five matches.

In the first innings, however, Rahul managed only 11 off 24 balls before falling caught behind to Will Sutherland.

Post the lunch break, Sai Sudharsan also reached his century, but was out immediately afterwards. He scored 100 off 172 with the help of nine fours and a six. This is the 8th first-class century of his career.

India scored 261/3 at the lunch break with KL Rahul and Sudharsan at the crease. They were 151 runs short of the target at the time of writing. On the other hand, Rahul was named in India's squad for the two-match Test series against the West Indies.

Sudharsan will also be in action for India soon, as he was also included in the 15-member squad to be led by Shubman Gill. The left-handed batter made his Test debut on the tour, but had a mixed outing after starting his career with a duck. He scored 140 runs in six innings, including a half-century in Manchester.
