India A vs South A Unofficial 2nd Test: India's swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant suffered an injury scare during the ongoing Day 3 of the 2nd unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A in Bengaluru. The 28-year-old left-handed batter, who is making a comeback to competitive Cricket, suffered three blows on his body before he got himself retired hurt.

Interestingly, Pant will be back as vice-captain of the side during the two-match Test series against South Africa starting on November 14.

In a video posted by a Cricket fan on X, Pant can be seen struggling during the match after he got hit on the helmet, followed by on the elbow. He also got hit on the abdomen afterwards. Check out the video here:

Pant could be spotted walking back to the pavilion as he remained retired on 17 runs from 22 balls. Currently, Dhruv Jurel and Harsh Dubey are holding the fort for India.

It will be intriguing to see whether Pant takes his turn to bat later in this innings.

Jurel, Harsh Bring Up 100-Run Stand

Notably, Jurel played a commanding knock of 132 runs as he remained unbeaten in the first innings. Interestingly, Jurel has been in incredible form as he moves towards another milestone in the 2nd innings. At the time of reporting this story, India stand at 220 for 5.

Earlier on Day 2, Indian fast bowlers produced an excellent effort as India A made light of Marques Ackerman's masterly hundred to nose ahead of South Africa A on the second day of the second four-day match here on Friday.

Prasidh Krishna (3/35), Mohammad Siraj (2/61), and Akash Deep (2/28) used the pace and carry on the BCCI Centre of Excellence pitch to good effect to share seven wickets among them, bowling out SA for 221 in their first innings.
