India vs Australia 3rd T20I Match: India bounced back in the T20I series against Australia with a remarkable 5-wicket win in the third match at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Sunday. Australia are still 2-1 ahead in the five-match series.

On the back of a remarkable win, India ended Australia's streak in Hobart in T20I cricket. This was Australia's first defeat in six T20I matches at the famous venue. The Men in Blue chased down the 187-run target in 18.3 overs on the back of an incredible knock from Washington Sundar. Notably, this was the third-highest successful run chase in T20Is in Australia.

Sundar was the star performer for the visitors with the bat as he played a magnificent knock of 49 runs in just 23 balls on the back of three fours and four sixes. He stitched a match-winning partnership of 58 runs with Jitesh Sharma (22*) for the sixth wicket.

"Washi (Washington Sundar) showed great flexibility, Jitesh contributed well, and Arshdeep was outstanding. It felt like the right combination tonight. It’s (series at 1-1) set up beautifully. We’re heading to a new venue, so it’ll be a fresh challenge, but the boys are confident and enjoying their cricket," Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said in the post-match presentation.

Earlier, Arshdeep Singh produced an impressive effort with the ball on his return to the side. He took three wickets for 35 runs in his four overs as India restricted Australia to 186/6 in their 20 overs.

While the series opener was washed out in Canberra, India ended up losing the next game in Melbourne before making a comeback in Hobart. The fourth T20I match is scheduled to be played at the Bill Pippen Oval in Gold Coast on Thursday.
