IND vs AUS 3rd Test, Day 4 Brisbane Weather: India are in a tough situation in the third Test match against Australia in Brisbane but the weather has played its part as well in the contest.

India were reduced to 51/4 in their first innings with KL Rahul (33*) and skipper Rohit Sharma (0) at the crease. The day 3 of the match witnessed a little bit of action before the persistent rain brought an end to the play.

The visitors are still 394 runs behind after Australia scored 445 runs in their first innings. The match has witnessed rain in all of the first three days so far. Only 25 overs could be bowled on the third day at the Gabba.

Australia are currently in a dominating position, thanks to centuries from Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) whereas Alex Carey provided the finishing touch with an impactful knock of 70 runs.

While India face a tricky challenge to avoid following on, they will be hoping for either a miraculous batting effort from the rest of the players or a massive interruption from the weather in Brisbane.

A complete washout in Brisbane will not only keep India alive in the series but will also save their chances of making it to the World Test Championship final.

IND vs AUS 3rd Test, Brisbane Weather Report For Day 4

The weather forecast for the fourth and fifth day of the Test isn’t much better than the first three, which has kept a draw as a real possibility, and arguably a better prospect than an India win.

According to the weather predictions, the morning session of the play is expected to be washed out due to rain. There are 99 per cent chance of thundershowers in the morning, which could stop the play from resuming on time on Day 4.

However, Australia would be happy to see that for the rest of the afternoon, precipitation is predicted to be under 20%.

The weather is expected to be overcast with a cold breeze flowing through the iconic stadium in the evening.

The five-match is currently levelled at 1-1. India registered a monumental win by 295 runs in the first Test at Perth before Australia bounced back with a 10-wicket win in Adelaide.
