India vs Australia Test, BGT 2024: Mohammed Siraj has been a major talking point ever since his heated verbal exchange with Travis Head which took place during the second Test between India and Australia in Adelaide.
Siraj reacted after he was penalised by the ICC for the fiery send-off he gave to Travis Head during the pink ball Test which India lost well inside three days.
Siraj was fined the 20 per cent of his match fee and also was handed one demerit point to his disciplinary record after he was found guilty for breaching the article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
Despite widespread criticism for his actions, Siraj seems to have put the incident well behind him.
When asked about the fine, Siraj responded positively. "Yeah man, it's all good," was Siraj's reaction, as reported by Australian media outlet Sydney Morning Herald.
Siraj dismissed the topic of the fine altogether after he was asked whether he was upset about it.
"I'm going to the gym now," was Siraj's prompt response, without mentioning the fine.
Notably, Head was also reprimanded after he was found to have breached Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel
The heated incident took place when Siraj dismissed Head for 140 runs during Australia's first innings and send-off in an aggressive and inappropriate manner.
It was followed by a verbal exchange between the two which went on to become a talking point throughout and after the match.
Travis Head's memorable century played a huge role in Australia's monumental win by 10 wickets. They bounced back brilliantly with an impressive effort in all departments to level the five-match Test series 1-1.
