Virat Kohli Record in Australia, Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Once again, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli as India and Australia gear up for much-awaited action in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The five-match Test series could be Virat's last outing in Australia in the longest format of the game.

While the first Test begins on November 22 at Perth's Optus Stadium, Kohli will be looking to kick off the tour in the best possible way.

Kohli has had some of his best cricketing moments coming against Australia as the massive challenge against the top side has always produced the best out of him.

The star Indian batter has a remarkable record on the Australian soil as well, scoring 1352 runs in 13 matches across four trips Down Under.

He led India to their first-ever Test series win in Australia in 2018-19 and was captain for the first Test in the successful 2020-21 tour before returning back for personal reasons.

This will be Kohli's fifth tour to Australia for Test matches, having made his first appearance in Australia in 2011-2012 tour.

In his first trip to Australia, Kohli ended as India's top run-getter as he scored 300 runs in eight innings at an average of 37.50.

He smashed a fifty and a hundred in the four-match series which India lost 4-0.

Kohli then captained the majority part of the series during India's tour to Australia in 2014-15. The series witnessed the best of Kohli in overseas conditions after a horrible tour to England.

The former Indian captain was the second top run-scorer in the series after Steve Smith as he smashed 692 runs in eight innings at an average of 86.50 on the back of one fifty and four remarkable hundreds.

Kohli then scored 282 runs in seven innings during the 2018-19 Australia tour before he ended up making 78 runs in the first Test he played during the 2020-21 series.
