India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: India maintained their remarkable record at home in Test Cricket by whitewashing Bangladesh 2-0 on Tuesday.
India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second Test in Kanpur, making it their 18th consecutive Test series win on home soil.
After a commendable all-round performance, Gambhir shared a moment with star batter Virat Kohli, who saw the game out, scoring an unbeaten 29 runs in the second innings.

India won their first Test series in the era of new head coach Gambhir, who was seen expressing his happiness on the team's memorable performance with a cheeky smile on his face.
On the other hand, Kohli also shared a warm hug with skipper Rohit Sharma, congratulating him for leading the side to a magnificent win.

Notably, there were speculations over the relationship of Gambhir and Kohli within the dressing room considering their on-field altercations in the past.
Both Kohli and Rohit played a part in India's series win and proved Gambhir's take on their future right.
Gambhir had said that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have a lot of cricket left in them after their heroics in the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. The new head coach said in a press conference.
“I think they’ve shown what they can deliver on the big stage whether it was the T20 World Cup and in the 50 over World Cup as well. I think both those guys have got a lot of cricket left in them,” said Gambhir.

“And more importantly with the Champions Trophy and a big tour of Australia, obviously they would be motivated enough, and then hopefully they can keep their fitness till the 2027 World Cup as well,” he added.
Talking about the match, India bowled Bangladesh out for 233 in 74.2 in their first innings before declaring their first innings for 285/9. India took a 52-run lead.
On the final day, India first bowled Bangladesh for 146 runs in their second innings before chasing down the 95-run target in the second session.
