IND vs BAN: The Bangladesh cricket team landed in Chennai on Sunday for the two-match Test series against India. They took off from Dhaka and reached Chennai in the early hours of Sunday morning, which was four days before the series opener.
The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side was on a small break after they scripted history by cleanly sweeping the two-match Test series against Pakistan. The Bangla Tigers thrashed the Men in Green 2-0 in Rawalpindi. They received a huge reception at the airport and then reached their team hotel and took the rest of the day off. The BCB took to their official X account and shared a video of their flight.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has revealed a 16-member team for the two-match Test series against the Rohit Sharma-led side. Najmul Hossain Shanto will be leading the team from the front in this upcoming Test series, which will begin next week. It's the same squad that more or less defeated Pakistan earlier this month. Opener Mahmadul Hasan Joy made a comeback to the Test squad after missing the recently concluded series against Pakistan. He had sustained a groin injury and it took him two weeks to recover.
Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam's injury woes forced him to pull out of this series against the Men in Blue as he too is suffering from a groin injury. Shoriful did feature in the series opener against the Shan Masood-led side, where he also took three wickets, like that of Babar Azam. But he missed out on playing the second match due to a groin injury. Bangladesh's veteran pacer Khaled Ahmed also missed out on playing in this series. But he later replaced the injured Shoriful Islam.
At the same time, Jaker Ali Anik received his maiden Test call-up. The youngster is the only uncapped player in this Test squad, who otherwise has represented Bangladesh in 17 T20Is.
Bangladesh's squad against India:
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Kumar Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Jaker Ali Anik.
