India vs Bangladesh Chennai Test: India's batting stalwart Virat Kohli reserved a special gesture for the Chennai Test hero Ravichandran Ashwin, who led the hosts to a huge 280-run win against Bangladesh in the first Test.

As the Rohit Sharma-led team huddled in to celebrate the wicket, Kohli was seen bowing down to the star all-rounder for his exceptional efforts with the ball in the first Test in Chennai. A video of the same has now gone viral on social media.

Ashwins's impressive all-round performance has taken social media by storm, displaying his crucial role in Team India's ruthless 280-run triumph against Bangladesh in Chennai.

The moment occurred when in the 57th over of Bangladesh's second innings, Ashwin claimed the wicket of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, erupting celebrations. As teammates ran to Ashwin to congratulate him, Kohli showed his respect with a respectful bow before shaking hands.

Ashwin played crucial role for India on day one as he rescued his team from 144/6 with a stunning century followed by a remarkable six-wicket haul on Day 4, helping hosts secure a ruthless 280-run triumph over Bangladesh in 1st Test.

After the match, the hero of the match, Ashwin expressed his happiness for receiving the Player of the Match award while also underlining the enjoyment of performing in front of his home crowd.

"Every time I play in Chennai, it's an amazing feeling. I've watched a lot of Tests, and international cricket in those stands, to do it in front of those renovated stands is great. It was an opportunity to fight, dig in deep," Ashwin said in a post-match presentation.

"I make a living by bowling, so bowling comes first. I think like a bowler naturally but have focused my thoughts on batting. The compartmentalisation is work in progress," he added.
